Maps in the Cloud Web Client

NOTE: Cloud-based maps is only available with certain licensing tiers. See OWS Licensing for more information.
NOTE: To view, edit, and receive notifications for maps, users must be in a User Group in which Video Player Maps permissions are enabled.
Maps
Click Video > Video Player > Maps to view the list of Floor Plans that have been shared with you. The Global Map displays the same Location Address in Management > Locations > Maps.
NOTE: Zoom in to view separate icons for each Floor Plan created.
The Location icon on the Global Map displays the status of the Location:

Location is not set to arm or disarm. |
 |
Location is set to armed. |
 |
Location is set to disarmed. |
Add Floor Plan
If a Floor Plan has not yet been added, you can create one in Maps.
- Click + Floor Plan
to add a new Floor Plan.
- Drag and Drop a file or Browse to add a map image from a local machine.
NOTE: Map image must be in one of these formats: .bmp, .png, .jpg, and .jpeg.
NOTE: Maximum file size for the map image is 50 MB.
NOTE: Recommended aspect ratio is 16:9 for best results.
- Click Add.
NOTE: Cloud-based maps and floor plans are not compatible with Maps in Command Station.
View Floor Plan
Once a floor plan has been created, it will appear in the Maps list under its location.
NOTE: Click a camera icon to view video from that camera in the Cloud Video Player.
A preview of the floorplan can also be viewed by hovering over the location pin on the Global Map.
Click on a flashing device icon to display the event on the video player timeline.
NOTE: Add Users to an Alert Rule and check Client Alert for those users to receive alert notifications on the floor plan.
