What is a HDD permission error? / How to fix

An HDD Permissions Error appears on a unit as a banner at the bottom of the screen or in OWS alerts. This is meant to inform you that the recorder is being prevented from writing/recording footage to the hard drive. This is not an indication of a physical failure on the hard drive. 

If you are receiving this error, it is recommended to reboot the system and ensure the software version is up to date. If the error persists, contact technical support for further assistance.
