Configuring the Event Receiver API (Analytics)

The Event Receiver API (Analytics) is an API that allows a third party to send analytic events to OpenEye Web Services in order to leverage OpenEye alerting and video resources.

Enabling and Configuring the Event Receiver API (Analytics)

Follow the instructions in OWS Access Keys and select the Event Receiver API option.

Mapping Analytics Types to Cameras

After configuring your Analytics system to send events to OpenEye Web Services according to the OpenEye Web Services Event API document, your Analytics system will connect to OpenEye Web Services and add any attached cameras. If these are not automatically populated, contact your Analytics company.

  1. Open Manage Integrations > Event Receiver API (Analytics).

  1. Select Source / Camera Mapping.
  2. Expand the selection by clicking the down arrow next to the Source you would like to map a camera to.

  1. Click Add Camera and select the camera you would like to show up in alerts that are generated by this Source.

NOTE: If multiple cameras are selected in the previous step, only the camera that is set as Primary will appear in alerts.

  1. Repeat the process for all other sources.
