How do I change my camera network adaptor

Linux:

  • Navigate to Network Configuration and select your Camera adapter.

  • You will have to temporarily change the camera adapter to the same IP range as the camera. (record the current IP address that is specified before you temporarily change the IP address of the camera adapter.)

Example: If your camera is 192.168.0.250, and your Camera adapter is set to 192.168.51.1, you will need to change your Camera adapter to 192.168.0.1 or a similar IP on that subnet.

  • After changing your adapter, you should be able to discover the camera. Use the network camera manager to search for cameras on the network.

  • Once found, statically change the IP address of the camera to a valid IP address for the IP ranges of your cameras

  • Once the camera IP address has been statically changed, change your Camera adapter IP back to the original IP

Windows:

  • In Windows, search for “Control Panel” in windows search.

  • Select Network and Sharing Center

  • Select your camera adapter

  • Select Properties, and navigate to the “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) properties.

  • Select Advanced

  • The Adapter needs to use a static IP address, this will not work on using the "Obtain an IP address automatically".
