Subscription Management in OpenEye Web Services (OWS) provides OpenEye partners with the licensing and billing information, as well as management tools, to better support their customers and streamline their own operations.
The management of OWS licenses within the OWS channel partner portal allows those users to quickly purchase, transfer or upgrade licenses, as well as view, export and archive all billing information for customer accounts, providing a better customer experience as well as the opportunity to streamline their own internal billing processes. With the addition of subscription management in OWS, partners benefit from more operational efficiencies through a feature-rich centralized management platform.

Important: License transfers completed using OWS Subscription Management are available at no cost and do not require purchase of the OE ASDEVICE license.
Legacy License Transfer Request Requirements
- Requests must be scheduled in advance, depending on the details a license transfer request may take 24-48 hours to process
- Licenses can be moved instantly via Subscription Management
- A PO for the Apex Software Server License (OE-ASDEVICE)
- An email to Licensetransfer@openeye.net
- Email should contain the above PO, the number of licenses to be transferred and the from and to recorders serial numbers
- Licenses can only be transferred between recorders if both recorders have the same type of licensing or if you are requesting ALL licenses be swapped between two recorders
- You can verify licensing type by viewing the Inventory Report in OWS: Reports > Inventory Report > Licensing Column.
To submit a license transfer request please email licensetransfer@openeye.net with:
- A purchase order for the Apex Software Server License (OE-ASDEVICE)
- The number of licenses to transfer
- The serial number of the Original (From) recorder
- The Serial number of the New (To) recorder
