License Continuation Policy

Commitment to Continued Access to Recorded Video

OpenEye is committed to providing users with continued access to their video, even after expiration or cancelation of their OWS service.

Upon request from a user, OpenEye will grant a local access license for recorders, enabling local video recording and playback, provided the following conditions are met:

  • A user’s account was previously converted from a legacy perpetual license type to OWS 24/7.
  • A user’s account has maintained an active OWS 24/7 subscription for a period of 36 months.

User requests must be made through their service provider of record or may be submitted by the service provider on the user’s behalf.

Conversion to a local access license will result in loss of OWS 24/7 licensed features and functionality. View our Licensing FAQ page for additional information on OWS license expiration and cancellation.

OpenEye cloud cameras are capable of RTSP video output to third-party video services for continued use without an active OWS subscription.
