How to View and Access your OpenEye Encoder
Our encoders may require the use of ActiveX controls and/or add-on’s in the web browser. For this reason, we recommend using Internet Explorer if you encounter any issues loading them using other browsers.
- Open internet explorer
- Browse to the ip address of the encoder
- Login with the encoder’s username and password
- The default username is admin
- The default password is 1234

How to configure ActiveX controls in internet explorer
- Launch internet explorer and click on the gear icon (Tools) in the upper right corner
- Click Internet Options
- Click on the Security Tab and click the Custom level button
- Scroll through the list of settings and set all options with ActiveX in the name to enable
- Click OK to save, Click OK again on the internet options window
- Close internet explorer and open it back up
How to clear Add-ons in internet explorer
- Launch internet explorer and make sure you are not on the web page that requires the Add-on
- Click on the gear icon (Tools) in the upper right corner
- Click Manage add-ons
- Click the “Show:” drop down menu on the left and set to all add-ons
- Remove any add-ons that show publisher as DVR Support Center or OpenEye
- To remove the add-on, double click on it in the list and then click the remove button in the lower left
- Close internet explorer, open it back up and browse to the encoder. It should prompt you to install the required add-ons. If prompted to overwrite a newer file, click yes. You should now be able to view and access the encoder
