Best Practices for Configuring the Dual Light for Cameras
When setting up cameras equipped with both infrared (IR) and white light LEDs, consider the following configuration guidelines:
Illumination Mode & Active Deterrence - Event-Triggered White LED Lighting
- Active Deterrent mode - Strobe
- Effective for alerting or deterring intruders, but should be paired with Infrared Illumination mode for consistent video quality.
- Active Deterrent mode - Solid
- Provides improved illumination for identification. When paired with Dual Light Illumination mode, the camera will transition from B&W to color, allowing for color at night video recording.
Additional Tips
- Test the setup at night to ensure event-triggered lighting does not compromise video clarity.
- Consider the camera's angle and placement to optimize both illumination and field of view.
