Enabling Two-Way Audio, Line Crossing, and Area Detection on Hanwha Intercoms
To enable Two-Way Audio, Line Crossing and Area Detection on the Hanwha intercom, you must access the Hanwha intercom either directly through the intercom IP address or through your recorder and intercom setup.
NOTE: These instructions are for the TID-600R Intercom.

How to Access the Intercom on the Recorder
The intercom will be recognized as a camera and appear in the camera list on the recorder.
Enable Two-Way Audio
Audio must be enabled on both the intercom and recorder devices.
Enable Audio on the Hanwha Intercom
- Click
and go to Basic > Video Profile and check to Enable for Audio In.
- Click Apply.
Enable Audio on the Recorder
- Click Setup
> General Configuration > Cameras and click on the Hanwha Intercom in the Camera List.
- Click on the Audio tab.
- Select Record and Enable 2-Way Audio.
- Click Apply.
Enable Line Crossing, Area Detection, and Audio Detection
Enable Line Crossing on the Hanwha Intercom
- Click
and go to Analytics > IVA.
- Check Enable IVA.
- In the Virtual line tab, create a line (or lines) and set from which direction a crossed line will trigger or if it will trigger when crossed from both directions.
- Click Apply.
Enable Area Detection on the Hanwha Intercom
- Click
and go to Analytics > IVA.
- Check Enable IVA.
- In the Virtual area tab, create an area (or areas) and set how the area will trigger: after a set time for Intrusion duration, if the area is entered, or if the area is exited (or a combination of the above).
- Click Apply.
Best Practices
Enable Audio Detection on the Hanwha Intercom
- Click
and go to Analytics > Audio Detection and check to Enable audio detection.
- Set the threshold for Level of detection.
- Click Apply.
Enable Analytics on the Recorder
NOTE: Follow the instructions below for Apex Server Software versions previous to 3.0. For enabling analytics on Apex Server Software version 3.0 or higher, see OpenEye Server Side Analytics.
- Click Setup
> General Configuration > Cameras and click on the Hanwha Intercom in the Camera List.
- Click on the Analytics tab.
- Check Enable Analytics.
- Click Apply.
Create an Analytic Alert Rule
After enabling analytics on both the intercom and recorder devices, create an analytic rule in OpenEye Web Services (OWS).
Analytic Alert Rule Definition
- In Alerts > Alert Rules, click on the newly created Analytic Alert Rule.
- In Rule Definition, choose either Audio or Video for Event Group.
- Select the Event Type from the dropdown.
- Click Save.

Enabling Sensors and Relays for the Hanwha Intercom
To generate events, make sure that the recorder sensors and relays are enabled for the Hanwha Intercom:
- Click Setup
> General Configuration > Sensor / Relay.
- Check on the TID-600R in the Sensors and Relays tabs.
NOTE: Both Sensors and Relays for the TID-600R (1/2 and 2/2) need to be checked.
